PowerUS, Inc. is seeking passionate and committed individuals to serve as general volunteers in our non-profit organization. Our mission is to provide housing, counseling, and education services to women in crisis, including survivors of domestic violence and those facing poverty. We are looking for volunteers who are dedicated to making a difference in their community and are eager to support our efforts to empower and uplift those in need.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as answering phones, responding to emails, and managing paperwork
- Help with event planning and coordination, including outreach efforts and logistical support
- Participate in community outreach initiatives to promote our services and build relationships with other organizations
- Assist with fundraising and donor relations, including grant writing and donor stewardship
- Provide support to our counseling and educational programs, including assisting with workshops and classes, as needed
Qualifications:
- A passion for social justice and a commitment to serving those in need
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfort with technology and willingness to learn new tools and systems
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
